Privacy policy
Which personal data Dublin 10 handles, for what purpose, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and your rights under the GDPR.
Who is responsible
The controller of the personal data described here is Dublin 10 (dublin10.com). We comply with the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and questions about your data can be sent to info@dublin10.com.
What we collect and why
Visits: your IP address, browser type and the pages you open, retained so the site stays secure and keeps working. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in running a safe site.
Messages: what you write and the address you write from, so that we can answer. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
Business accounts: the email used to log in, each edit made to a listing and, for Pro or Top, billing records. Lawful basis: our contract with the business and our record keeping duties.
There is never a reason to send health details, PPS numbers or ID copies. If any arrive, we delete them.
Adverts and cookies
The site shows no adverts, uses no AdSense and sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare counts visits without storing anything on your device. One technical cookie exists, for business owners only, to keep them signed in while they edit a listing. Because it is strictly necessary for that service, the Irish ePrivacy rules allow it without consent, so there is no cookie banner.
Who helps us
Cloudflare hosts and protects the site, measures visits without cookies and handles our mailboxes. Its Turnstile check separates people from bots on forms. Stripe processes payments for business plans and holds card details itself, so we never see them. Some processing takes place outside the European Economic Area, under the safeguards the GDPR accepts for such transfers.
How long we keep it
Visit logs are kept briefly, for security. Emails are kept until the matter is resolved. Business accounts last until the owner closes them. Billing records are kept for the period tax and accounting law demands.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, for corrections or erasure, to restrict or object to its use and, where it applies, to receive it in a portable format. Write to info@dublin10.com. We reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are not happy with the way we have used your data, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, the Irish data protection authority, at dataprotection.ie.
Children
The site is aimed at adults, and we do not knowingly gather data about children.
Changes
A change in how we use personal data will be reflected here, and the text on this page at any moment is the policy in force.
